Good morning, family! We hope everyone enjoyed yesterday’s cookout and quality time together. Here’s what’s planned for today:

Note: All daytime activities are optional. Feel free to join us for the museum visit, explore on your own, or relax at the hotel.

 

Morning Activity

Kansas City Barbecue Museum & Crown Center Free Time

• If you’d like to ride with family, please meet in the Hospitality Room between 10:00–10:30 AM so we can organize carpools.

• If you’re driving yourself, plan to meet at the Barbecue Museum around 11:00 AM.

• Admission: General Admission – $10 per person – Optional BBQ Sampler – $15 per person (includes museum tour + food)

• No advance tickets needed—just pay when you arrive. Children’s pricing may be available on-site.

• The Barbecue Museum is located inside Crown Center, so you’re welcome to explore other attractions like LEGOLAND, SEA LIFE Aquarium, Hallmark Kaleidoscope, and 60+ shops and restaurants. Explore Crown Center

• Parking is available in the Crown Center garage (self-paid).

 

Afternoon Return

We expect to head back to the hotel between 2:00–3:00 PM to give everyone time to rest and get ready for the evening. (Or sooner based on consensus.

Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Meetup: Hotel Lobby by 10:30 AM
Location: Museum of BBQ at Crown Center
Partnered With: Burnt Ends BBQ (downstairs)

What’s Included:

  • A guided tour through KC’s legendary BBQ history
  • Learn how BBQ shaped local Black culture and community
  • Optional Add-On: Burnt Ends BBQ Sampler Meal 🍖 ($15 per)
